SA YES is an organization that has a long history with The PM Group. For over 23 years they have been supporting thousands of elementary school children with the school supplies necessary to succeed each school year, as well as, grants given to area schools and organizations for programs that promote successful learning. The PM Group has been helping raise funds and our employees generously volunteer their time to help SA YES fundraising events like their annual Taste of Education Dinner and Golf Classic.
In the recent article, you can learn all about SA YES’ efforts in San Antonio and other South Texas communities each year with their Back-to-Basics program and other educational donations and programs the organization supports. One of those programs is their new ‘Little Locker Program’ that allows students to come and borrow books from the lockers located at Edgewood ISD Family Service Center, Sosa Parent Center, Hutchins Elementary School, Harlandale Middle School, and Terrell Wells Middle School. These lockers also house craft supplies in the summer while school is out in an effort to keep kids active and focused on positive ways to spend their time. SA YES also recently distributed grants to Pleasanton ISD and PAM Media Outreach as part of their YES Grant program which you can read all about in one of our latest blogs.
None of this would be possible without SA YES’ annual fundraising opportunities, one of which you can get involved with now. Earlier this month, the organization launched their Drive Away for Education Truck Raffle. This campaign allows individuals to buy raffle tickets to win their dream truck valued at $40,000 or other incredible cash prizes like a $4,000 shopping spree or $2,500 in HEB gift cards. Now through August 8th raffle tickets can be purchased as well as the opportunity to be involved in their online auction. There’s also a chance to win several HEB gift cards during weekly prize drawings on WOAI-TV. The grand prize, second, and third place prizes will be drawn on August 11th on WOAI-TV’s 10pm newscast.
