45,000 Elementary School Children Receive Free School Supplies Thanks to Thomas J Henry

 

 

San Antonio and South Texas school children received all of their required school supplies FREE for the 23rd consecutive year in August. No one deserves more credit than philanthropist and attorney Thomas J Henry who is directly responsible for providing over $200,000 in financial support in 2021 to the San Antonio Youth Educational Support project (SA YES).

 

 

When you help a child attain the proper education, you provide them with the foundation for a better life,” stated Thomas J Henry. “I’m fortunate to be blessed with the opportunity to help so many children that need the tools to succeed in school,” Henry added.

 

 

SA YES is a 501c non-profit educational foundation started 23 years by The PM Group’s CEO & Founder Bob Wills. He also serves as the board president for the non-profit.

 

 

“SA YES would not be the organization it is today without the generous support of donors like Thomas J Henry and our many other sponsors of the foundation,” stated Danielle Gunter, the SA YES Executive Director. “Every child we assist receives a complete package of school supplies, including notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, a ruler, folders, a glue stick, colored pencils…every thing the State of Texas requires school children to have,” Gunter added.

 

 

What makes the SA YES project so uniquely different from most 501c non-profits is their funding support. The organization receives no financial support from federal, state, city, or county government. The foundation individually raises all of their necessary funding through private donors like Thomas J Henry and the fundraising events the organization holds annually to raise money for their continuous operations. “Our annual Taste of Education Gala & Golf Tournament and the Drive Away for Education truck raffle are significant fundraising revenue events for us. The Ancira Auto Group was highly instrumental in helping us raise over $500,000 this year,” added Gunter.

 

 

PMG’s President | COO Fran Yanity and Kathy Schmitt who is the VP of Account Services for the agency also serve on the SA YES Board of Directors along with Wills.
