The relationship with San Antonio Sports initially began when the organization was a recipient of the agency’s annual fundraising gala, The King and Queens of Good Hearts. After several years of support and growth together, San Antonio Sports is now one of the agency’s newest clients launching the most comprehensive marketing and communications campaign SA Sports has done to date.
You may know San Antonio Sports for bringing the Final Four or the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon to town. But, what you may not know is that they’re a 501c3 nonprofit organization, transforming the lives of kids and our community, through the power of sport.
The Power of Sport
The Power of Sport campaign focuses on the influence sports have on a child’s development and future success through groundbreaking research and partnerships with renowned San Antonio businesses and community leaders.
The goal of the campaign is to 1) educate the public and bring awareness of the services San Antonio Sports provides, 2) secure long-term sustainability of San Antonio Sports’ i play! afterschool – an innovative after school program that ignites a love of sport in underserved 3rd to 5th graders, and 3) to transform the community through the power of sport.
A recent San Antonio Sports online survey conducted by Core Research consisting of 325 business and opinion leaders in the San Antonio metro area, shows that sports can make the difference between success and failure, and that 57% of business leaders attributed youth sports experiences to their career success. This groundbreaking research is the largest regional survey of its kind.
By providing sports to underserved children in our community through the i play! afterschool program, San Antonio Sports is directly influencing the future academic and career success of these children.
Our Involvement
The agency played a vital role in the launch of the Power of Sport with campaign development, scriptwriting, television and radio production, long-form video production, collateral production and media placement. In addition, our services included social content development and blog writing, PR efforts including national pitching of the research study, morning show coordination, influencer campaigns, and speaking engagements, as well as event fundraisers to extend messaging of the campaign.
