Rudy’s Bar-B-Q Raises Over $135,000 for SA Cancer Council


Since 2015 our client Rudy’s Bar-B-Q has partnered with the SA Cancer Council to raise money for their pink “Campaign for a Cure” supporting cancer awareness and research. For the past 3 years The PM Group has helped Rudy’s promote their Campaign for a Cure and continues to be a part of spreading the news about this great cause.


As part of this year’s campaign, guests at any of the four participating San Antonio Rudy’s Bar-B-Q locations received a FREE $10.00 Bar-B-Q voucher for their next visit when they made a $5.00 donation at checkout. Thanks to everyone who participated, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q was excited to announce at their recent press conference that they raised $135,002.14 for the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. “We are grateful to all of our supportive guests who contributed to our annual ‘pink’ cancer awareness campaign,” said Tim Louton, Executive Vice President for Rudy’s Bar-B-Q. “As a result of this campaign, we are able to support the SA Cancer Council and their mission to promote cancer awareness and research.”

The SA Cancer Council is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that funds the fight against cancer. Over the past 37 years, more than $5 million has been provided for patient assistance services and cancer research at the Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson.
