The youth of today in a few short years will be our future leaders. By actively teaching, shaping and influencing our middle school and high school students, P.A.M. Media Outreach is making critical investments in what that future looks like. Paula Monroe, MBA, PhD leads this nonprofit organization, reaching underserved youth in San Antonio’s most challenged school environments. Her team teaches important leadership skills to pave the way for a brighter future for us all.
Paula knows firsthand what it’s like growing up with limited means in a difficult school environment. “I channeled what I’ve learned into a proactive, productive leadership and mentoring program to foster a better tomorrow for students who are growing up like I did,” stated Ms. Monroe, Founder of P.A.M. Media Outreach.
Her students learn leadership and communication skills, ultimately showcasing those new capabilities at a school-wide Student Summit with community leaders from business, law enforcement, politics and more. The important lessons learned from Paula’s team translate into productive conversations around difficult community topics. The students learn how to have fruitful interactions with those who may think differently than they do in order to affect change.
