KTSA 550 AM teamed up with the Puppy Food Bank to conduct a daylong radiothon to raise much needed monies to support pet shelters in need. The $29,598 raised on April 11th will help the nonprofit feed hundreds of dogs at shelters all across America. The organization now supports over 30 ‘no kill’ pet shelters nationally.
“This was a very good fundraiser for Puppy Food Bank. Every dollar raised helps us save pet lives,” stated Danielle Gunter, the Puppy Food Bank Executive Director.
The Puppy Food Bank was launched three years ago in support of Texas-based pet rescues. In 2024, the organization expanded to support select continental U.S. based rescues. All monies are privately raised through monthly donations and community events like the ‘Putts for Pups Golf Tournament.’
“We will continue our efforts to help save pet lives,” stated the Puppy Food Bank board president, Bob Wills.
