The Northside San Antonio highway system is getting a $1.3 billion dollar makeover to reduce traffic congestion by 76% according to reports. From Bandera Road / Loop 1604 eastbound all the way to I-35 north, this massive construction project isn’t projected to be completed until 2027, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The five-level interchange pictured above will bring critical relief to drivers traveling on I-10 headed for Six Flags Fiesta Texas, The Rim Shopping Center, La Cantera, the University of Texas-San Antonio and residents of northwest San Antonio and Boerne, Texas. Also, the VIA Park & Ride located there will double in size with bicycle parking and electric vehicle charging stations too!
