According to Security.org, porch pirates have stolen at least 58 million packages valued at $12 billion over the past year. Kentucky, Iowa, Alaska, Nebraska, and North Dakota experienced the highest rates of recent package thefts.

The popularity of e-commerce has led to 14 million people suffering a retail theft in just the last three months, according to the Security.org consumer survey of 11,000 adults.
“When you better understand the $12 billion dollars in losses incurred by retailors from porch pirates, you come to realize that online shopping is a major contributor to inflation.
