Diabetes is a growing epidemic in Texas. For example, about one in seven people in San Antonio has Type 2 diabetes, and many don’t even know they have it.
Nationally, only 1 out of every 10 people in the U.S. has diabetes. An additional 1 in 3 have prediabetes, meaning blood sugar levels are higher than they should be, but not enough for an official Type 2 diagnosis.
Starting December 1, 2025, Thomas J. Henry has launched a multi-media campaign to raise awareness, and he has generously offered to match all donations up to $50,000 made to the American Diabetes Association.
“Together, we can all work towards lowering this Texas health crisis,” Thomas J. Henry stated.
Henry’s media campaign is airing all throughout December and January. Those interested in donating can visit: https://diabetes.donordrive.com/helpstopdiabetes.
